I have two silver dollars in my 20 gallon tank and have tried putting many different kinds of plants in and they've all been eaten. Is there any plants that silver dollars won't eat???
Key word is definitley "some" people have had luck!
I don't want to come off as being mean when I say this but.......a 20 gallon YIKES.....they need at least 55 gallons, preferably 75 or above! I can only assume it's a very temporary home because by 6 months they should be moved to a 45 and by 1 year they should be moved to an even bigger home!
You very well probably knew that already, but I wouldn't think of myself as a conciencious fish keeper if I didn't at least mention how detrimental it is for SDs health to have ample swimming space
Way too big for the tank you have now or the 55? You probably mean the 20.....I could only imagine! How old/big are they?
My advice would be to get one more once you get the 55, NOT before!! I have 4 in my 55 (2 babies, 2 adults) and I can tell I know I do not have enough room for them once they are all grown, plus I've had 4 adult SDs in the 55 before........not enough room I am hopefully getting a 125 this spring!!
