Well the ambient temperature in the house is about 68° dropping at night to around 60° and I have angelfish and yoyo loaches in there too. I’m leaning toward buying another heater that I can actually regulate.

Some online resources list the ideal range at 72°-79° and others 68°-82°, either way I'm definitely on the high end.

Perhaps the bigger concern is the safety of the lemon tetras as the angelfish grow to full size and or two of them mate.

I've been looking at adding rosy tetras with no luck finding enough locally, but I'm seeing plenty of lemon tetras. Are these fin nippers? Most online info suggests no. They'd be in a 75 gallon with 5 small angelfish. Thanks

They look a bit like Detritus worms or some other type. They feed off fish and plant waste and I don’t know if they are harmful (don’t think so) but probably indicate the tank could use a water change and vacuuming of those leaves and substrate. Someone around here likely knows more about...

No worries, the pic didn’t come up initially but it is there now. Looks exactly like a pygmy salt and pepper cory to me, full grown. I don’t know of any non-pygmy S&P corys for what that’s worth. I’m no expert however.

87° is a very high temp for corydoras, I think that would be enough to cause extreme sluggishness or worse over an extended period.

I appreciate your input and frankly I hadn't considered a crash. It's indeed possible even if it seems unlikely. I say that because while there's a lot of room, that "room" is filled and/or partially blocked with plants/driftwood/rock. This the one who rather abruptly died. Very sad.
