Since we are comparing devices, how about cars.....

So....

What is your current (or last if no longer driving) car
What is your favourite car (owned or driven) and why
What is your dream car
What is your absolute hated car (owned or driven) and why

My last car was a Toyota Mk3 Single Turbo Supra
My favourite car was the Toyota Mk3 Single Turbo Supra cos I used to love driving it just for the sheer fun of it and I rebuilt/upgraded the engine
My dream car Corvette Stingray (C3)
Absolute hated car was my Buick Century cos its suspension made me seasick

So what's yours?

My current car is a Proton Gen 2, which is apparently common in Malaysia and the UK, but pretty much unheard of here. So getting parts for it is not far from impossible.

My favorite car was my 1974 XB Ford Falcon panel van and the same year and model coupe (the same vehicle from the movie Mad Max). They had so much room in them and I could actually straighten my legs out, which I haven't been able to do in any other car, or truck for that matter.

I got rid of my panel van when the floor rusted out but kept my coupe until it disappeared under mysterious circumstances in 2015.

I don't really have any favorite hate cars but one of the neighbours has a turbo charged 4 cylinder and they rev the crap out of it all the time. That's getting tiresome really fast and it might be time for a phone call to the police.

My favorite hate related car issue has to do with the Australian government that didn't want to enact any clean vehicle emission laws like most of the world did 40 years ago. When most of the world agreed to reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption in new vehicles, the Australian government did nothing. So cars made for the Australian market use more fuel and have fewer safety features than the same vehicle made for the UK or most other countries. It's so bad that modern cars use as much, if not more fuel than cars made in the 60s and 70s.

eg: My 1974 Falcon panel van had a 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed gear box. It used 13 litres per 100km. The BF Falcon (I think 2010 was the last model) has a 6 cylinder engine and 4, 5 or 6 speed gearbox, uses 13-19 litres per 100km city driving, less on the open road. The Ford Explorer is another 6 cylinder with a 5 or 6 speed gearbox and uses the same amount of fuel as the BF Falcon.

Nearly 50 years of technology and the cars of today are using more fuel than the cars from the past. It's disgraceful.

We have two older Land Cruisers, a 1987 and a 1997. Also a 2004 Mini Cooper S to counter the fuel guzzling of those two.

Most hated car… when I was in high school, my parents had a 1981 Olds Cutlass diesel, what a crap sandwich. The engine was originally designed to run on gas and was converted to run on diesel by the geniuses (at the time) running GM.

Current car is ford mustang, dark blue, 2011

Having lived in or just outside London for nigh on 40yrs I rarely need one as the train/tube pass I need to get to work also covers any none work travel. Plus the traffics a nightmare here. Averaging just over 4000 miles driven per year these last ten years! Most of those are from 600 mile trips “home” four or five times a year. Its a blue one.

Current is a second hand Corolla. I'm car shopping these days.
Best car was an underpowered, boxlike ancient awd Toyota wagon, because it handled snowdrifts like a tank and taught me everything I know about mechanics keeping such an old car running....
My dream car doesn't exist - it would be a hybrid or electric station wagon, low enough to the ground to easily put kayaks on the roof, and without the show off bulkiness of an suv.
I had a brand new Ford Focus that broke down every few weeks - poorly manufactured, absolutely unreliable and scrapped before the car it was supposed to replace.

I live out surrounded by ocean, pines and deer - in a beautiful place where I have to have a car. Sometime I miss my Montreal BMW - bus, metro, walking.

A 2007 blue Ford Mondeo 1.8 Estate is what I'm currently driving. I love it, a proper workhorse with a bullet proof engine (touch wood!)

Favourite car I've driven is probably Mitsubishi Qashqai which had window for a roof and loads of mod cons

Worst car I've owned / experienced is 1989 Fiat Uno. To be fair it was fun to drive, like a little go-kart. But it let me down when it broke down on snake pass (not a great place to break down)

Current cars are a Ford Kuga st line & a Astra Gtc Sri

Favourite car was probably Seat leon cupra - just so well built and so good to drive.

Dream car would be ethier a Shelby gt 500 aka Elanor from gone in 60 seconds or a Ferrari 458 spider
Worse car would be my wifes Peugeot 206. Many years ago now but im not a fan of french cars.

What is your current (or last if no longer driving) car? 2013 Toyota Tundra, 2021 Toyota Camry
What is your favourite car (owned or driven) and why? Tundra, I like being the big truck on the road, I am up so high I can see everything.
What is your dream car? 1969 Yenco Camaro, or 1951 Mercury Sedan
What is your absolute hated car (owned or driven) and why? 1991 Dodge Daytona. This car never wanted to run right. I spent enough money to buy three new cars trying to fix it up. Everything broke on it before I finally sold it.

I don't drive at the moment because of the results of my stroke that I'm dealing with. So, I've sold my car. But I've driven several kinds of brands. Most were French ( Peugeot and Renault) and and German( Opel and Volkswagen) brands. But I've also driven Japanese (Honda, Daihatsu and Mitsubishi) and American brands like Ford, Chevrolet and Pontiac.

Current - 2004 Subaru Outback (station wagon).
1st car - 1969 VW Bus Westphalia camper.
Fav. Past car - Volvo 740 DL station wagon.
Least fav. Past car - 1985 Jeep Cherokee.
Dream car - 2024 VW ID Bus camper, electric.
