Hello all, Just wondering if it is OK to add liquid fertiliser to a tank with fish? And if it is necessary to fertilise plants or will they be ok without fertilising

Barbs, well I don't actually have anything against the species but just my lack of knowledge about them when I had them. I had 2 rosy barbs and 2 or 3 tiger barbs really cool and active fish but I kept them with 2 angelfish in a 65 liter tank and they killed one of the angel fish :(

I always think some greenery on the driftwood looks good such a java moss or anubias. For rocks you can also use slate if you live in area with lots around, just do the same as what you have been told to do for other rocks and make sure there are no sharp corners. One good thing about slate it...

Even if they are commercially toasted (sorry couldn't help myself picking on your spelling errors 😅) sounds like it would be best to take them back and swap them for something else :)

Hello, I have heard that the female bristlenose should be removed after spawning, is this really necessary or is it fine to leave her in?

I've been told the genetics of livebearers are very weak due to inbreeding especially in guppies. So would buying guppies that are of colour variations mean they aren't related and produce fry with stronger genetics reducing the chances of fry with deformities?

Depends on your water parameters but rice fish are often kept in ponds in somewhat warmer areas. And also depends on what the other fish are as @Colin_T said

It looks like to me alkaline is too low and also the water is very hard don't bettas prefer soft water? Someone else would be able to confirm.

Welcome @MysticFlwr. Sorry to contradict you @Fishmanic and @emeraldking but they said there tank is 20gal and isn't this month's contest 16gal and smaller? Or are you not too strict on that rule? Don't mean to sound rude. :) :D

The blood parrot cichlid may be picked on by the flowerhorn.

Great looking tank as long as the fush have adequate swimming space (which it appears they have) it doesn't need to be decluttered. But whether you rearrange (for a change of scenery) is your personal choice.

It can depend on how aggressive your kribensis is(as it can vary from krib to krib) but I have heard yoyo loaches can be kept with kribs, but I think yoyo loaches need a bigger tank?

For cleaning the gravel you can get an attachment for you siphon and simply just move it through the gravel while doing your water change. There also electric gravel vacs/siphons that allow you to clean the gravel without siphoning the water.

Also is gravel alright to use for a planted tank?
