Hello,
Just wondering if cories are difficult to breed and if guppies would eat the eggs/fry?

Yes guppies would eat the fry, not sure about eggs. I was breeding albino and bronze corydoras years back. Was good fun. You need a specialist set up to make it work, that was my experience.

Some are easy to breed, some are much harder. Basically, the ones ou can buy in the local fish store are the easiest. Albino and Bronze being some of the easiest.

Pepper cories (https://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/corydoras-paleatus/) are reported to breed easily as well as bronze (https://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/corydoras-aeneus/). Albinos are usually one of those 2 species.

Guppies (and all fish except herbivores) will eat the eggs before they hatch.

Most people recommend you keep them in groups of six or more to avoid stress (as with most schooling fish), and the more the better.

Most Corydoras won't breed until they are mature at 2 years old. Some breed at a year but most take longer. You need to feed them well (3-5 times a day) and do big regular water changes and gravel clean the substrate.

You can encourage them to breed by lowering or raising the temperature a few degrees overnight. Most breeders will use cold water (5-10C cooler than the tank water) for water changes, and do a 50-75% water change each day for a week. This simulates rainfall and usually gets them breeding.

If the guppies are well fed they usually ignore the eggs and babies but there is no guarantee, especially with eggs that are stuck on the glass saying free food. If you have lots of plants in the tank and maybe some leaves on the bottom, the babies will have plenty of places to hide. Personally I prefer to breed fish in single species tank so there are no other fishes in the tank to interrupt breeding or eat the eggs/ fry.

They will be fine in a 65l but I would suggest nothing with them and large weekly water changes - and preferably twice a week. They produce a high bio load.
Yes they will uproot plants until you have re-arranged the tank to their liking, and after that if they get bored with the arrangement they will let you know
