What do you exactly mean? The info isn't that different than PC states I think.

Where has this baby pleco come from?

I am not Byron but I definitely agree for the Dwarf Chainloach. I once adopted a single one in a tank that I bought. Feom the start it became clear that it needed company of its own species. It seemed to harass my C.habrosus but it clearly was in search to interact with its own. I rehomed it to...

    What's your favourite Cory?

As far as I know C.venezuelanus is not longer seen as a type of C.aeneus. Most sold green aeneus originate from the time that is was seen as such and are actually crossbreds in the current time. I have owned C.aeneus that definitely were seen as c.macrosteus earlier and now are C.aeneus again...

    Fish rescue rainbow shark

Sorry I disagree Colin. An LFS is a commercial company that sells fish on a commercial basis and I think they don't have to buy fish that gets too big or unwanted. I think it is the repsonsibility of customers to get the right info (from the LFS but definitely from elsewhere) befote buying...

    What's your favourite Cory?

Yes, but there are also trilineatus with hardly visible lines and a different patterning. C.julii isn't available in the commercial trade (and has a different (head)shape) though so anyone telling (s)he bought C.julii in am LFS actually are the C.trilineatus which are currently tankbred in most...

Does my Clown Pleco Have Ich?

My question was if the tank was properly cycled. "everything is perfect" doesn't say much. The fish is a wildcaught fish, that looks thin and sick. Being out in the open is a bad sign. Besides the fact it has close to none hiding places it needs wood to eat and for its digestion. They are...

Does my Clown Pleco Have Ich?

I doubt it is ich. Is the tank properly cycled and is there wood for the fish to feed on ?

But not all sand is silica / quartz. Some have a shell (calcium) or vulcanic origin. And even some are crushed glass. My Brittish friend on another forum (the first I was on) all like Limpopo for Corys.

Best sand for Julii Corydoras / shrimp question

That's a pretty weird conclusion to me. PFS is as smooth as sand could be. The use in filtersystems implies the grains are more or less.the same size and are "polished" / "rounded" so there will always be spaces between the grains. Other kinds of sands lack these properties cause of the...

    Pleco experiment
