yeah it is - it is very basic fleece filter media it goes in black box it is just a piece of fleece with carbon bag in middle and I have bio rings in one section - filter media in middle - empty space other side. I rinse it in aquarium water when doing a water change then place it back. Thing...

Basically the one in the filter holder needs changing it is just a piece of fleece that sits in holder with carbon in the middle -so it is still there - I am supposed to change it every month and now needs changing but place I get it from was out of stock
