whats the easiest way to get rid of algae. its all over my plants and glass. thanks

We need more information:

Tank volume:
How many Watts of light are over your tank:
What type of bulbs are in the fixture:
What's your tank circulation like:
What plants:

Only one of my four tanks does not suffer from algae, namely the 620T, presumeably due to the fast growing Elodea (Canadian Pondweed) floating on the surface for the benefit of my two Afican Butterfly fish in there. Fast growing plants will out-compete algae for nutrients in the water, providing there is enough of the plant, the trick is finding one that suits your tank setup (I tried a load of "Red Root Floater" from "voo" on the forum, but it has a strong dislike to water curent).

I had algae on my glass and I just brought a rubbernose pleco which lives on it - and within two days he has cleaned it all - that's my boy lol

amano shrimp?

I have 4 in my tank..they keep all the plants, mangrove roots and stones algae free...not so good with glass though.

Don't keep the lights on for as long as you currently do
get some plants that will compete for the same nutrients such as java moss, indian fern, water lettue etc
algae eating fish
