There is a good general guide on anemones here. :) If you just want a host for your clownfish, there are a few 'anemone look-a-likes' that your clown will love, such as Torch Corals and Hammer corals. They are much easier to take care of than anemones. :)

Tiger Lotus are colorful red plants that grow tall, and my guppy fry like to hang near the surface so they like to hid in the leaves there. :)

It depends on if you're buying everything new, the type of fish you get, etc. Get the biggest you can afford.

The brown stuff on the gravel looks like diatoms, which is completely normal for a new setup. Your snails and crabs will love it. :) Also I have those little white tube things with the tentacles. I have no idea what they are either but they don't seem to cause any harm. They're just kinda scary...
