Diatoms are part of a normal new tank cycle :good:

Covered RO Water should last a while, although it's better if it has a tight lid instead of a towel.

i ment if its kept in a jerry can with a bin liner over it.

Well, I would have expected something to shift, I'm not keen on the tropic marine tests, go get that second opinion and lets see :good: Would be a good test of the kits as well, it isn't a problem if the results are as they are, the salty world is never really as predictable as we would like!

you can buy this chemical stuff and inject it with it and it will die. or buy a peppermint shrimp later on. but my shrimp dosnt touch them. so it may not work.

You could try aptaisia x some people have had success with it or try and find one of the giant peppermints, people seem to be having a bit more luck with them and they are more easily available now - your lfs should be able to order you one in if they havent got any
