Ran my cross country race yesterday afternoon and taking it easy today . The steep hills ate my lunch . All my training runs are pancake flat and besides that it’s raining today so I’ll just sit around and watch westerns on TV today . Life’s good .

You can rinse out your filter media in aquarium water until the media falls to pieces . No reason at all to change it very often . You really don’t need the charcoal but it does give the water a bit more clean up . That should be replaced maybe every six months .

My new complete filter replacement set for my R/O unit came Friday so today I do that . Membrane gets changed after a year of use , sediment pre-filter , charcoal pre-filters (2) and the charcoal post filter . It’s still pumping out water at 5 PPM TDS but I stay on top of this .
