Argh. Our power went out while I was out today.. meaning they were left in total darkness and without a working heater for a while. I think I lost some babies but there's still a good 40 or so I think. I'm really surprised at how well daddy's doing. He's only 13 or 14 weeks old I think.. still...

More bettas like a couple more? Or more like.. hundreds? If you spawn your bettas, be prepared for hundreds of little bettas (and A LOT of jars). I've easily spent $300 on proper supplies.. and that doesn't include the breeding quality pairs. Breeding takes a lot of time and money..

I LOVE these containers! :D They hold a little over a gallon I think. They're stackable too! They're about 4 bucks here.. I'm sure they're cheaper in the states though.

Don't have a picture but I almost got a pair from Jonathan at West Coast Bettas a couple months ago. He had a pair of Black and White Super Deltas.. they were stunning!

Don't feel stupid! I still have trouble with tail types sometimes. Tom II is a halfmoon. Cedric was sold to me as a halfmoon but he doesn't have a 180 degree spread.. I'm not sure what to call him actually LOL. Super delta I guess?

I'm still new to genetics myself but I think that if both of the parents are DT geno, you'd get 25% DT, 50% DT Geno, and 25% ST. If one is a DT geno and the other doesn't carry DT, then you'd get 50% DT Geno and 50% ST. If one is a DT and one is a DT geno, you'd get 50% DT geno and 50% DT.
