Hmmmm, I've been thinking about this since the thread was posted and am still no closer to deciding

So far, I've got:

Sweet Child of Mine - Guns n Roses (I had to have one GnR song cos they rock!)
Killing Me Softly - The Fugees (excellent and Lauren Hill is a very talented lady)
The Fool on the Hill - The Beatles (because I had too choose one Beatles song and this is the one that I've always connected with)
Layla - Eric Clapton (cos that man can play a guitar!!)
Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield (cos I just can't help but sing along)

With GnR, I couldn't decide between Sweet Child of Mine, Patience, Paradise City, Knocking on Heavens Door and November Rain amongst many others so Sweet Child is my GnR tribute!

I thought I had my list of all-time favourites down quite well untill I looked at Amis list ... and now I'm so tempter to throw some more songs in. But I won't change what I had *sigh* ... I'd like to add this is my all times favourites, and definatly not my 'what I listen to right now'. That, plus I am no good with names of songs and artists ... I actually had to look up all of the titles & artists by lyrics googling

1. Fools Garden - Lemon Tree
2. Bruce Springsteen - The River
3. Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun
4. Lynn Anderson - Knock 3 times
5. 3 Doors Down - Sarah Yellin'

Now, I'll probably change my mind on this list tomorrow, when I think of more songs and go ' oh yeah! I really like that one as well ' ... but hey.
I feel kinda bad for not including any of Eric Claptons songs in here right now though
