yes sponge filters require air pumps but they work great. order them online

i dont think moving the betta to a 1g tank is nice. :sad: if he is doing good in the 10g why would you want to cut his home down?

as far as rocks go, just go to a creek and get them from there. just be sure to scrub them with bleach really good first then rinse them off really good. if there are a lot of sea shells it may change the ph of your water, but im not sure

not to be mean or anything but i guarentee you, a fish raised to live in the wild will not do good in a tank and will probably die. dont take this offensively

i added a piece of manzanita wood to my tank, and it turned it all murky and brown. it did not effect the ph but it didnt do any good either

first of all i have both these fish and i completely disagree with you. i have only a sponge filter for me, no big fancy hi-tech filters and i have no problems with cleanliness with my pleco. as for feeding, i don't. he eats whatever grows and does great. and he does great in my 10 gallon...

the bass will never do good in a tank, all it is is animal cruelty

i got all my rocks from a creek in my backyard. just get the rocks, put them in a bucket with water and bleach and let them soak. then take out and scub. then rinse really good.

hi, i have a 10 gallon aquarium with medium size gravel. when i syphon water for a water change i usually get underneath the gravel and get the crap that builds up underneath the gravel. do i need to do that or just get the water off the top? thanks!
