I use API Aquarium Salt in the aquarium for them to create those conditions. I have a huge piece of driftwood setup that gives them a big open area at the top of the aquarium out of water. They spend a vast majority of their time there.

I've read in a lot of places that they need to be in a group of 6. I have 5 Tiger Barbs in a 20 gallon tank. I tried adding new fish today and they were chasing the new fish around and fin nipping at them constantly. If I add just one more Tiger Barb would it make a difference?

they are the small Tiger Barbs. They also sell Medium and Large ones. I bought the small ones with this in mind.

he said the kits automatically read .05 UNLESS something is off in your tank (i.e higher amonia levels). He said they never read at 0 and that they were older strips. Would floating the bio-wheel from my other tank that has been established help out at all?
