Is this a 20H or 20L? I have 40watts over my 10g, and that's plenty for corals and anemones, reason i ask, is cuz my lighting was only 35 bucks. if its 20L then u can get for around 50 bucks the proper lighting to keep ur LR alive.

if u look at my 10g nano there, it costs so far are around 250-300 range. I am just gettin ready to get corals as soon as i get coral beauty angel out of there

nah no buffers or anything. On the moon sand, i figured it would bring out the gobies best with it being black we don't have ph problems here as it is like 8.3-8.5 out of tap... i have read on reefcentral about people using it in their FOWLR tanks, but have yet to see a pic one girl told me...

if they don't survive the ride then how come when they say that if u keep a mandrin u must have a fugium to keep the pods for safehaven and spread into the tank?

yea for pods is main reason why i got mine..cuz i wanna keep a mandrine down the road... they also make HOB types like my CPR:

i would actually go with the 404 or a different kind of filter, perhaps the magnum 350 pro, that way got something for superior biological and polishing the water.

yea their referring southdown sand. It is a pain to wash but a majority of salties use it. Here are some pics of mine in the FW tank:

congrats, they are so cool when little. for the intake problem, either use a sponge filter...or sponge on intake..not sure what u have right now. I have seen them jump from tank to the filter through the outflow! lol. see:

ok, i have bakpak on, and 20lbs of LR in there i decided i upgrading already, lol. i am cleaning out the 29g should have it up soon. But here are some pics. 10g with skimmer on it temp. for a few days. the clownfish, one false percula and one true percula and the 29g i am cleaning out...

We are having a discussion about this on another place and am trying to figure this out, i believe it does and so do others i have spoken with. The fact that carbon does leak toxins back into the tank after so long if the carbon is not replaced...Please tell me what you think.

well i got the LR in and some fish, man the sand is really stirrin up everytime i touch it, think i could throw on some Crushed coral on top not alot but enough so doesn't disturb sand so much?

I will be starting out with a bakpak2 that am gettin locally, then i am either upgradin this to a 50g or 75g and then the exacilbur insump skimmer will come into play.

LOL no offense bud but that thing is way way to small for him, a min, of 20L for babies. They are all wild! never been able to breed in captivity. They like current since they are from the rivers. lower ph levels or nuetral, and make sure u feed some live food once and awhile, u really need...
