My 10g journal

Looking good!
This hobby can easily get under the skin and push your bank balance to the limits! Uprgrading is good ! even more room to spend your hard earned cash :p

lol, i didnt get to cleaning it last nite like i hoped, i am really tryin to figure out this question:

I want to use tahiton moon sand versus southdown, since i have like 30lbs of tahtion moon sand....i figured it be perfectly fine..with LR in it.

Once i figure this out i can have it filled with water and movin...with SW tonite..

Ok update! :D As for last question this is what tahiton moon sand looks like:

Tank is a little cloudy, i rearranged not too long ago..so i will take pics when much clearer. I had a masked goby in there but haven't seen him since i rearranged i am afraid i squashed him..:( i gotta find another goby...

This moon sand..
Is it reef safe?
Does it buffer?

was that sand just for your old tank not your new tank, it looks like its just pretty gravel and does not offer any buffering at all, could be wrong if its something diffrent :)

nah no buffers or anything. On the moon sand, i figured it would bring out the gobies best with it being black we don't have ph problems here as it is like 8.3-8.5 out of tap...
i have read on reefcentral about people using it in their FOWLR tanks, but have yet to see a pic one girl told me she'd get me a pic but still nothing. I think i will try it out in the 29g i am just afraid the LR isn't gonna look all that good against it..perhaps lalo liverock.

That sand in the 10g SW is from a local reefers tank...so live sand and 15g's of his water, Liverock was pulled from a 125g's refugium and has some mushrooms and macroalge on it....

I will do the 29g withblack sand and post a journal for that as i am gonna put this 10g into my office in corner....

Well, My yellow goby will be here hopefully 2nd weekend of march should be in. I have some macro algae that is in the tank which i believe is spreading pretty quickly, here's a pic, any ideas what it is?:
