Be careful of guppies in a new aquarium - i've always had problems untill the tanks matured wuth guppies :( The rest sounds ok - just be sure to get plecs that stay small :good:

Yes it was soaked for 2 days in very hot water - then boiled (got a bollocking for using the best pan hehe) and stood again for 12 hours before putting in the tank. I'll look into the anti fungal treatment this weeked :) Thnaks for your advice - in boths of my posts - legend :good:

Adding plants wont create any problems - i add everything except for the fish when i cycle mine :good:

Yeah i usually take 50% of the water out, and anything they can hide behind, then get the fish i want into a corner and work up - the fish usually swims up and is easy to net. If only they were as easy as my plec - i can just take the cave out with him in lol

Did you thoroughly rinse your sande before use? This needs to be done with all forms of substrate, gravel aswell - as they are usually very dusty when bought. How long have you had your tank running for? Oh and welcome to the forum!
