    Breeding Tank

Sounds bang on to me, aslong as the PH has not been effected by the decor in your tank (bogwood lowers, limestone increases)then you should be good to go, use a chunk of sponge, then BANG instant tank

    Breeding Tank

Take a part of a sponge from your current tanks filter, and put it in the new tanks filter, use some of the old water and the rest DECHLORINATED water, if you don't used dechlorinator then you will kill the bacteria, leave it a few hours to settle then put them in the new tank, frequent water...

    Geophagus Surinamensis

I'd assume so, aslong as they were big enough not to be considered food, they're not a particularly aggressive species, their is inter-species aggression but thats standard cichlid behaviour, i didnt see any problems with other fish in my setup :good:

    New To Cichlids

TBF the fish may eat, but its not the best idea, leaving them to settle and feel more secure before feeding usually reduces a lot of stress on the fish :good:

    Geophagus Surinamensis

Steindachneri? I had a group of 8 imported via Ross, gorgeous species, males tend to grow A LOT quicker then females do once their is an alpha male, and the male will breed with every female in the tank, i got fry from 3 females but didn't want to disturb them, so the fry were eaten, PH doesn't...

    New To Cichlids

Leave them be for a day or so, they need to adjust and settle into their new home, how old is the tank and how was it cycled? :good:

    Geophagus Surinamensis

To get pure, genuine G.Surinamensis, you're gonna have to order from the american importers, Don Conkel or Jeff Rapps, and even then they may make mistakes, you would struggle to find genuine G.Surinamensis in the UK, lots of cross breeds going about due to incorrect labeling of the species...

My New Hand Made Coldwater Tank Opinions ?

So using your logic i can keep a 10" goldfish in a 24x15x15? atleast 40 gallon per goldfish, i'd say one, MAYBE 2 goldfish in a 125L and an internal is utterly useless with goldfish, over filtering is almost a neccesity with such a messy species, so get an external :good:

    80Ltr Tub

Bought one from a bargain store for £10, put water in and it flexs quite a lot, is this safe or should i abandon ship? when the lids on it doesn't flex so bad but it does when its off

    How About Led Aquarium Light?

A timer will ensure a good daylight/night time schedule for the fish and this will keep them less stressed, imagine the sun coming up one day at 6, and the next at 9, then 5, then 7... etc... not saying you would be forgetfull but it really can stress fish when that happens IME :good:

80Ltr Chocolate Gourami Breeding Project :d

Found an 80litre tube at the local bargain store, £10, got an internal filter already and a little heater etc... so i'm gonna get this setup using mature filter medium from my "big" tank (24x24x16H) and put them in tomorrow :) the tub is slightly tapered but measure 21Lx16x16 at its narrowist...

    Is This Genuine?

If you read me post, i can't speak for all salons but the 1 i passed in landudno had external filters (eheim) on each tank and the fish were transferred into different tanks (decorated) when the salon closed, fed a pellet food...its not all bad, but obviously i can't say its the same for all the...

Had my chocolate gourami for almost 2 weeks now, and i'm looking at setting up a tank to breed them in, just them and possibly a bulldog plec to keep the tank clean, i'm just wandering what size tank would be seen as an absolute minimum for a trio of chocolate gourami and a bulldog plec?

    Is This Genuine?

Its the wow factor, i was in landudno today to just get away from things for the day, saw 2 seperate setups from the same company, hand spas, and feet spas, people were going in because of the "wow fish can clean what i can clean myself..." they were asking £10 for 15 minutes, and people were...

    Tanks Upstairs?

I live in a semi detatched house, 3 bedrooms, and currently only have the one tank upstairs (24x24x16) and was wandering how safe it is to add another, identical tank next to it? its against the chimney wall and a another wall, the new tank would be next to it to make it effectively 48x24x16...
