How About Led Aquarium Light?

i get some fish a few weeks ago ,and they are really in good condition .but i will go out sevreral weeks .so none gonna look after them ,so i want to buy a led aquarium light ,Has anyone once used led aquarium lights ,and what is the reasult ?

LED lights are ok, but if you want a decent amount of light (like for plant growing), then T5s with an electronic ballast are still cheaper to run than the equivalent "usual" LEDs and the process to produce them is more environmentally friendly. Good LEDs do exist, but at this moment in time, they are very expensive to buy and one can expect to have to do some DIY to build a working light unit.

You should also use a timer for your lights, they only cost 2-5 pounds or so and will save you a lot of bother in the long term.

A timer will ensure a good daylight/night time schedule for the fish and this will keep them less stressed, imagine the sun coming up one day at 6, and the next at 9, then 5, then 7... etc... not saying you would be forgetfull but it really can stress fish when that happens IME :good:
