it was a liquid test kit

yeah first it started out a little and it raised the ammonia around 4pm and i waited a few days added more. then i added more and pretty soon i was able to dump a cup load in and within 12 hours it read 0ppm. the test strip did read 8ppm cuz that was the max but i immagine it was a lot more

well i had a giant bottle like huge i think it said a gallon, yeah i tested my water. i think its cuz i have a really powerful filter that has alot, but i started out putting like a little more each day

then well i put a cup in everday to cycle it and its cycled so ?????

yeah i live near chicago and i got ammonia from jewl like 2 monthes ago but it wasnt that strong. i had to put like 1 cup to raise it to 5 ppm in my 48 gallon tank

cool im getting 6. Will they work with ghost shrimp,danios,mysterysnails and ottos. also rams, and cories(getting those later)

i went back today and realized there just clear and the have the same scientific name as white skirt tetras. probly wrong though

I went to petsmart and they had these "blushing white skirt tetras" they looked very cool but different from regular white skirts. They were red in front and had dark beady eyes. So are these the same?

i had that same problem when the lady from petsmart gave me 4 zebra danios and 2 longfin leapords instead of zebras. Well the zebras just all ganged up on the leapords and i had to return them. So i would return the leapords and get 2 more zebras.

its the name of the gourami. its called a giant gourami which really only grows 4 inches. its also called a banded gourami. thats why i put giant/banded gourami

yeah same happened to a petland near me. Got 100 dollars worth of stuff for 20 bucks. like a lifetime of plant ferts and nets and food and all sorts of random stuff.

hmm they don't have a white and pink one for 96 watt but so i would have to get the all white one or the white and blue one or the all blue. Which one would work for plants

It says on the site that alot of the profit goes to help the research. also i will take xtra care for them not to get into the wild. but even if they somehow do, i live in IL so it will be killed by winter. But what if a green glowfish and a red glowfish mate?????

how is it inhumane the fish doesnt get hurt. the whole fish keeping would be inhumane. Think about it. Its like us being trapped in a little room for our whole lives with strangers from around the world.

even if another fish eats the glofish the genes not going to do anything. Its just like a fish eating a regualar zebra danio. Also if the fish does happen to get out in the wild, its not going to survive. Its just to bright and will get eaten. And everybody is comparing this to an extreme. This...

giant gourami is also banded gourami which grows about 3 inchs. The species your talking about is just called gourami

what about rams?

ive did research first. they don't go through "trama" The gene was injected into the eggs years ago. If they breed the fry are the same color. Also they were meant to stop pollution so its only helping the enviroment by making more.

i don't have them yet but im getting them in a few days. there not illegal in the states except california. Petco even sells them.ill post pics when i get them

if you want rays the wider the better. also for sharks it really won't make that much of a difference if the tank is that big already
