I'm not quite sure what type of shrimp I want. I kind of want to keep my options open to differnent types as I don't know what types I have around (thats if there are any around). My favourite type so far are probably cherries.

Yeah, I know there would be breeders in Australia, but I just wish there was somebody on TFF who bred bettas and lived in South Australia.

How come almost everyone who breeds bettas lives in the UK??? Why can't you guys move down to Australia, somewhere near where I live of course, and then I could be in betta paradise!!! LOL

I think that would look really good. I like the look of Cherry Shrimp. Could I really put 6 to 8 in there? It seems a bit to many, but then I have never kept them so I wouldn't know. While searching the internet I found a type called Ghost Shrimp. I don't mind these. Would they be suitable?

In a fishless cycle you add 5ppm of ammonia (bought froma store) into the tank. After awhile the bacteria that live in your filter build up. They feed on the ammonia and this is why when you have fish, hopefully, the ammonia will stay a 0 ppm.

Once you have cycled the tank and when 5ppm of ammonia is added to the tank it can go down to 0ppm after 12 hours. Thats when you can add the fish.

Unless you want to breed them I think you should just get one. That way there won't be any territorial problems amd they do fine on their own. I have one and it is a great addition to my tank.

From what I can see my pleco doesn't have any whiskers. I can't tell for sure though because it kept hiding. I think it does that just to annoy me!!! LOL :lol:
