Sorry to sound stupid but what is RO?

Does anyone boil their water and leave it overnight to climatise? Does this make any difference?

Its hard to get anything which wont chase a male betta. One large fish we have normally has a bad reputation but is very placid. Its an Black knife ghost fish imo a stunning fish and he even eats out of the palm of our hand. They are almost impossible to breed at home and like little hiding...

Sorry to hear about your fry :( It could be just the stress of it moving into the fry trap. We have gourami fry at the moment like millions of them 10000 no joke lol we just got them all in a 4ft tank together and took the mum and dad out. Hopefully they will all survive. We hope.

Ok they have been hatched now for 6 days and its still about the same number of fry in there. and ok il try them with that. :good:

We would just like some advice one of our gourami's have had there babies we looked in the tank to see how much fry there was once they had hatched and theres like 1000 of little healthy free swimming fry in the tank (NO JOKE) we was wondering would they stay as 1000 or would that number drop...

No i dont want them just to make money i want them because they are the only fish we havnt got and i got a new set up seperate tank for them.

stick a small bit of polystyrene on the top of the water in the tank. the fish should act as if its a large leaf and lay the eggs under it. if they are not bubble nesters they may like too lay the eggs on a clean bit of slate at the bottom of the tank

Hiya ummm we have 1 of them ours always stays in a tube aswel thats where they always like to be so you have no worries there.

My large tank is 4ft and i also have a 2ft tank aswel. and 1 on the way a 6ft tank. but wont e here for a while so really just a 4ft tank and a 2ft tank.

Heya well i did have a male and a female molly but then they started breeding after that the male killed the female for no apparent reason :( but he was hugeeeeee then we sold him but we do have a few babies if you woud be interested ?

heya we have orange platys how did you notice the fry? and we got told platys couldnt be near their fry to start with as they eat them straight away :blush:

We put a small sheet aprox 6" by 4" we had a large bubble nest the next morning we then introduced the female and had a nest full of eggs that night. Now just waiting for the eggs to hatch :)
