Sorry to hear about your fry :(
It could be just the stress of it moving into the fry trap.
We have gourami fry at the moment like millions of them 10000 no joke lol
we just got them all in a 4ft tank together and took the mum and dad out.

Hopefully they will all survive. We hope.

lol im gonna keep them my other female is pregnant as well but ill give those fry away, because these were my first lot of fry im keeping them they are my lil babies. My boyfriend gets jelous as i give the fry more attention than him lol :good:

lol i got my boyfriend some bronze cory on monday so hes got them to talk to. I think they are quite scary but it shuts him up for 5 mins. Lets hope no more of my fry die

I use to leave my in the main tank I got bored with breeding nets ect some got eaten but the strong ones made it. Keeps the numbers down.

would it be better if i buy a small tank and put the fry in there?

You could get another tank, but you'd have to cycle it first and after 6 - 8 weeks of the fry being in the net as long as you've got decent planting and hide aways you can let your fry out of the net into the big wide world of your tank, BUT if it's an excuse to your other half for another tank, then YES YOU DO NEED TO MOVE YOUR FRY!!!

Mark.

Or you could move some of your media to the new tank. Makes for an instant cycle.
