Our platies have been breeding like crazy and just felt like taking a photo of them.
I swear, we get rid of a couple dozen, and then we get a couple dozen :p
These photos are just of the little ones.
The tank is filled with platy (along with the other fish).. of varying sizes

It's pretty weird.... we started off w/ orange and blue platy. That's the only colored fry we've been getting.
But we're now starting to see a new color pop up in some of them. Like a weird yellow/green color. Very interested to see the color they get when they're grown.

No idea what we're going to do with them. Maybe sell them to the LFS again.. although their quality in fish care has gone down a considerable bit. There is another we could try if they're willing to buy them.

heya we have orange platys how did you notice the fry?

and we got told platys couldnt be near their fry to start with as they eat them straight away

None of our platies have ever eaten any of their fry. At least as far as we can tell and w/ the number of fry we always end up with heh. I'm sure some platy probably would eat fry, but our own don't seem to.

How can we tell they are there?
Well it helps that some of them are orange heh.
Plus the hornwort that's floating at the top of the tank makes for great cover for the fry, so I can see them whenever I look in to the tank from the top.
Also the fry, once they quickly learn that I bring food are not shy at all when they're begging for some. They don't know what the dreaded net is yet, so will come right up to my hand for food or try to get food as I'm pushing the hornwort away.

Hi! could you possibly put a pic of the mother on it (if she is still pregnant) because i may have a pregnant one and would like to see what they look like

The tank is pretty algae covered atm and needs a water change, but I'll try to get some photos of the grown platy tomorrow :) There are multiple momma platy in this tank :D
