Well it's been a week and they are fine....It's still funny that they try to eat anything that moves in that tank...It's like I don't feed them enough or something...lol

Well the parents don't stay with the fry anyways...The male stays the longest, but he will eventually start to eat the fry and must be removed. You can raise many fry in a 5 gallon....I had up to 25....When they started to grow, I started to mve them. ;)

I have a whole school of about 20 to 25 baby oscars in a holding tank at my dad's in Glendale. The tank is a 135 gallon. They follow me around like the ones in he petstore do....You know, the flocking "FEED ME!" dance they do so well! They go through a small canister of bloodworms a DAY! :D

I recomend a 5 gallon minimum for Beta breeding. Lots of hiding places, with sand on the bottom with a sponge filter. You do not want a filter that moves water very fats or at all....it will disturb the bubble nest and Betas do not like moving water anyways. My best luck came with planting a...

I am sure that if they are not fighting or causing trouble in your tank, then they should be fine together. It's Firemouth Cichlids I would be wary of. In my case, they were always mean to my Oscars.... I used to keep Oscars with just about every different kind of cichlid....Nothing ever went...

Cool tank, are those real leaves from a tree outside? That creates a very real lake-like or harbor type of scenery. I really like it. :D My Beta is in my smaller tank with my Gouramis and Mollies and he loves it! Yes I have Gouramis and Mollies together and they love each other.....Weird huh?

I usually keep my Betas in 2.5 Gallon rectangular tanks...but right now they are all in Beta Hex tanks (the little ones) because winter is almost here and I am moving them into my fiance's mom's house for the winter break. :D My Betas hate small tanks. ... :rolleyes:
