You should breed your own feeders. Star by getting 4 or 5 small tanks (I use gallon jugs w/ the tops cut off) and quarenteen a few edible minnow in each. After a while you can move them to a bigger tank or a small pond and breed them. I suggest that you put alot of vegitation into the tank to give littles a place to hide while they are still bite sized.

Since I started I havent had any problems with bringing in any ill fish and I am very happy with the results.

If you live in a dorm I'd suspect someone dumped a beer or alcohol in that tank. Someone did that when I was in college. Some think it fun to dump beer in fishtanks, smoke pot and blow it up cats, dogs and birds noses, etc. Sick senses of humor. You never know who was in there while you were at work. Sorry about your fish.
