I use Instant Ocean in my tank.

Maroon clowns are very aggressive, you need to buy a mated pair or a single fish. They wont tolerate other clowns :no:

From october 03, i've lost a female clown, a blue cheek goby and a boxing shrimp. The only one i have a reason for is the shrimp, i had a bit of a nitrite scare when i moved my tank :(

My 2 clown loaches and 7 tiger barbs rule my tank, especially at feeding time :lol:

Hi there, not sure about the size of your tank but tigers are active swimmers, as already said. I keep 7 tigers in my community tank and have no problems at all, they squabble among themselves. They are with....rams ,asst tetras, clown loaches and a royal plec and algae eater. I think tigers...

My faves are my clown loaches and tiger barbs and Boris... my green spotted puffer :wub:

As long as you keep the barbs in a shoal of 6 or more, there shouldnt be a problem. I have 7 in my tank and they dont bother the other fish at all.

Hi there, first pic is a female. But the second????? I work in the lfs and i havent seen one that dull, the male is just not as colourful as the females. When you took the pic was the fish stressed? because most fish go dull if they are stressed.

I would say that its the flying fox too. These can be quite nasty :nod:

Have you had your water tested as well? The fungus may be caused by bad water conditions.

Thanks Melleth, you have it just right there. I work in the lfs and sometimes it seems a waste of time giving advice because you just know the people dont care, and if we dont sell them fish they will go elsewhere and probably lie about water conditions, mature tank etc. Thankfully not all...
