I saw this video last night...and guess what I've just witnessed in my own tank tonight?!!!! YUP! - Pretty much the same! :D I know absolutely nothing about tetra breeding...gestation time, size of eggs etc...I guess they'd disappear in 2 seconds flat in my tank too mind...! :rolleyes:

I think you should be congratulated for being so blunt and honest here. I understand completely where you are coming from, but can't stop thinking I'm one of these people myself. And like you said, there's no way of stopping them from mating, other than not having them in the first place. -_-...

Agreed. I LOVE maths...it's little questions like this that keep me going!...If anyone ever has a problem/debate which involves using maths...let me know! I may not be right, but I DO get a lot of enjoyment from them! My last one was - which is best, a toploader or a side loading...

Lol...! Thanks, that's great. I was just trying to work out quite how pregnant they all are. They all had spots when I bought them (surprise surprise :rolleyes: ), and that was only the 27th of April...so I guess I'm none the wiser afterall! All I DO know is that they'd been in a female-only...

I KNOW what the gestation period is...what I was asking was, how long is it, usually, before the spot first appears...presuming the spot disappears after giving birth... I guessed it's something that I'll learn from experience, but having very little at present, I thought I'd ask people who...

Me too, this morning... Only to find THREE in the filter this evening! A pregnant guppy (God only knows how SHE got there), and a neon tetra, swimming nicely within the filter, and another tetra squished between the sponges and the filter wall. He eventually swam freely, although I'm not sure...

I "think" my molly gave birth not so long ago...she was large, and then all of a sudden she became very slim (I was at work :angry: ). Now, if she gave a 'normal' birth (i.e. didn't abort, or anything like that), and the all the fry were eaten by the others (probably my boysterous male molly)...

Is 'pop eye' a disease/condition/problem...or is it alright?

This afternoon, I asked for 10 neon tetras...I was given 12. I'm not complaining (!) But, on viewing them tonight, I've noticed something VERY peculiar. 10 of them swim nicely in a shoal...(how pretty :wub: ) but another 2 have never swam with the others. One is hovering too close to the back...
