As above, I did the same. I have recently upgraded to an external tetra tek ex600 and its much better!! I would highly recommend that you consider doing the same as the water clarity is now much better and there is more room in the tank. Otherwise, a couple of cm off the corner will be fine...

Hi Bmonki As above realy. I have 4 snails (2 zebra nerite and 2 golden apple) and have never fed them anything. They keep the sides clean and "hoover" anything up left ny the fish, so I wouldn't worry about them!! Dead easy to keep! :good:

As well as the nerite and golden apples, I have some red cherry shrimp and amano shrimp. I was a bit concerned that the amano's would attack the cherrys due to them being smaller, but no such problems. My tank is spotless so I would recommend those. What sort of filter do you have?

I think Harelquin has hit the nail on the head there!! The higher the temp of the water, the less oxygen is in it. Have you got good agitation of the surface from your filter? Hopefully your Cory's are behaving normally now?
