whats the best food to feed my fancies as i dont want them to get swim bladder damage? i have daphnia and i feed them peas. is it ok to feed them goldfish flakes if i soak them first?? :S

I was in the at the aqua store the other day when i saw the japanese fighter fish, they are gorgeous :hyper: what would i need to keep one? tank size? filter size? sand or gravel? what do they eat? im a total beginner so any help would be great :good: thanks, Brad

ive had my new oranda about 2 days but today i noticed he has lots of white spots on his tail and fins they must have been there all the time i just hadnt noticed. they are almost like freckles, is this white spot or just colouring?? :crazy:

yeah all levels are what they should be and i did a 50% water change this morning, so i guess their just resting :)

my fish (1 black moore, 2 orandas) are spending an hour or so resting on the bottom of tank in the corner, is this usual? :unsure:

thanks for all the advice guys, im new to all this and im suprised that the people at the fish center didnt tell me that fancy and common goldfish cant live in the same tank happily. i bought them at the same time and they didnt say anything :angry: anyway i only have the one common so for now...

pond looks great, yellow common is gorgeous. I notice you have a cat, you will have to keep an eye on him :sly:

:crazy: my common goldfish (rooney) is chasing my oranda fantail (gary) around the tank, its not all the time but im wondering if he is just playing or wether he doesnt like the oranda? any help would be great

hi black angel, you gave me advice yesterday on my tank temperature. my oranda is about 3-4 inches long. he very often hides under the plants and just floats at the bottom of the tank, maby depressed? stressed? ive had the tank 4weeks and the oranda about 5 days. ive orderd nitrate and armonia...

my oranadas poo is white, all the other fishes poo is brown, is this normal? dont want the little guy to die :/
