    Well since it is filtered and my water isn't hard at all (Lake Michigan) I have to assume it is because it is cycling. Does this mean I should be pulling my beta out for now and checks the water specs before i out him back in?

    Again im new to this all so a apologize for all the quick questions, but I have this film on the surface of the water that is slightly opaque and I dont know how to get rid of it. I used a siphon tube and sucked all of it off the surface once, but it came back within a couple of days.

    No im in the US but ironically I believe the lamps you are talking about (at least the ones from your previous post of tank) I have had and been using for years as my main desk lamp. That could be another option but I like this 10watt that i found. Has a nice blue hue to it. Thanks

    It wasn't for any reason but that it was one of the only light that i could find that fit in the slot for a light. I went out and found a 10 watt florescent bulb that works great though. Thanks for the response.

    Ok thought of another question cause you guys rock and are quick I bought a fake plant early on that kind of is like a evergreen branch. Though the actual bristles are softer than a really tree the more I look at them the more I worry about him and his long vailtail.
