    Air Wall OR Air Stone???

Do you have a control on your line. When I first put my bubble curtain in the tank it was covering the top of the tank in a layer of bubbles. Then I got an air line kit from my LFS and was able to control the volume now it works fine and the fish love to swim through it.

 Thanks for the encouragement, but it's not just two fish; I already lost several on a first tank from overloading. Now this time I tried to stick to the book I had, and still they're dying. The other adult platy that was in isolation died this morning. I hate to even think what that brings...

Have you thought about penning your article on fishless cycle at the beginning of this section so more newbies could find it before they have some of the problems encountered with cycling? Just a thought. I would have loved to have had this information before I started then maybe so many fish...

    My Poor Betta

My daughter had a female betta that got a spot on it like that it was from the male biting her after the eggs were laid. Is it possible that your betta could have been nipped?

    struggling to stay afloat

Yes, it is a plec, but right now it is quite small. Hopefully it won't grow too quickly. Maybe by that time I feel confident enough to grow to a larger tank with it. I just hope the platy is doing all right. I don't want to lose everything again. i know i have to cycle all over. but I prefered...

    struggling to stay afloat

Thanks big fish for your reply. The algea eater is pretty docile. He's more concerned with sticking to the glass than bothering the other fish.

    struggling to stay afloat

 We recently started a 10 gallon tank for my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately we overstocked and got some diseased fish. As you might imagine a lethal combination. We lost everything but a ghost shrimp and an algea eater. We decided to start over from scratch the right way. We dumped...
