Gravid Spot

I have a Red Wag Platy that I don't know if it is pregnant or not. What does a gravid spot look like?? I know it is on the belly, but what part of the body??

it's a dark grey spot just behind the pelvic fins

it should be easy to notice since it is on a spot that usually doesn't have color

Is your platy really fat like it's going to explode?

even though this is a guppy, it should look like this.

(the gravud spot is the dark square near the tail in the picture)
since yours is a red wag platty, the colors might be too dark to make out the gravid spot though...

My platy's stomach (in front of it's fin on the bottom) it is grey/white. Does that mean anything?

I'm glad to see that someone else is unsure if his platy is pregnant or just really fat. Thank heavens for this forum it has really helpedto answer many of my questions and let me know that I'm not alone. Good luck with your platy.
