    Questions

Correct me if im wrong bt i thought that male bettas was strictly one a tank as they will fight to the death! Ive been told and read that they are not necessarily agressive fish yet when two males are together they wil fight so i would advise definately do not get another male!

    Fish with no eyes

When blind cave fish are born they are blind with no eyes however at such a young age they have visible eye sockets just with no eyes. As they mature these grow out until the no eyes looks more natural lol. They have never been able to see so for them it is not a problem. They originate from...

    Am I Still Overtocked?

The rule tends to be one inch per gallon. So work out how many inches of fish you have when theyre full grown and compare that to 10GALS. You should have about 10 inches worth of fish in length at full size in a tank of that size.

    Elephantnose fish

Cool. Well im removing all the fish from one of my 50G's, the substrate will be changing to sand and it has a lot of bogwood. All this will be done in one day and so i am hoping to have one zig-zag spiny eel and 2 elephantnose fish in it. Would this be ok?

What is the cheaper option, i read somewhere on this forum there are a type of dead liecrock excuse the cliche that with time will come back to its former glory? This is cheaper however is it too challenging for a beginner? Ive become friends with a guy at the LFS, who really does bring his...

    Minimum betta requirements

Hey, I went to the LFS today and bought a tank measuring 24 x 12 x 12. Is this too big, its actually a jewel rekord 60 and the male betta is going to be the only inhabitant. The current will be minimal as with all juwel tanks. I have used sand as a substrate and have used a variety of plants...

I dont think im going to filter the tank but ill use a medicated cycle liquid in the water and also use some gravel from one of my others and what about squeezing a used bit of filter media into it? Would that also help?

I wasnt saying there was a problem with the size of your tank with the angels, that is perfectly ok i was just sayin a 20 day old tank rougly isnt great for angels and female bettas. But if u say its cycled then i will take ur word for it. Dman99

Hey, I have 4 aquariums now but ive always wanted a male betta. I really dont know much apart from never put males with males or with guppys and gouramys. Id like to set up a tank for a male betta and so what are the minimum requirements that a betta could live in ie. do they need a filter...

    Help me please......Pleco trouble

Lol, its no problem, its what the forum is all about. Normally i say dont have fish that would outgrow the tank theyre in without having the bigger tank because 6months down the line the finances might not be there. And clown loaches really do need a big big tank. Mine are in a 5' x 18" x 18"...
