    Siamese Algae Eater Question

will a siamese algae eater be comfortable with a day time ph of 6 and a night fluctuation up to 7-7.3? I plan on having just one of these in my 36" community, for its activeness and algae eating, will a male or female be better and what are the differences? Cheers.

    Fish Turning White

like i said there was no noticeable change in the PH. The rocks have been out of the tank for over a month, the tank has had a few thorough cleans since then but the fish are still really pale.

    Fish Turning White

Hi, In one of my tanks i put in some local rock, its a beautiful stone that resembles rugged mountain peaks in the aquarium but i also used it because it was free, similar rocks in this quantity on-line would cost upwards of 50 quid so i would like to fix this problem if possible. Since adding...

    Stone

Thanks, it's Hemianthus 'Cuba', if you want to grow a carpet though i wouldn't recommend this plant, i would go for riccia fluitans instead as its much hardier and easier to shape. It wasn't too hard to maintain, a good trim every couple of weeks but this scape is coming to a end hence wanting...

    Betta'S Online

Hi, i've had enough of the poor quality betta's in all the LFS's, where can i buy them online (UK), from a site that shows individual pictures for each fish - theres nothing worse than going onto a fish delivery website and the options for betta's are 'red' or 'blue', mmmmmm thanks for the...

    Question About Weird Behaviour!

strange, kinda cute though. Is there enough oxygen in the water? do the other fish in the tank hover near the surface? As loaches are bottom feeders it is vital to get enough oxygen to the lower strata of the tank, if this isn't the case they'l dart up to get oxygen from the surface...

    Tropical Goldfish?

Nobody has actually asked how big your goldfish are so its difficult to know how many fish, if any, can be added to your tank. But in answer to your original question, goldfish are fine at temps of 75F and below, i'v mixed them with a range of tropical fish with not a single problem, they went...

Hi, i just wanted to get some advice before i go ahead with it tomorrow. On the Post Office website it says it is illegal to send adult fish but it's fine to send live fry as long as i mark the box with 'Live Creatures - URGENT', i will send it by next day special delivery so writing that on...

    Substrate Intruders Need Identifying

Hey all, i have a intruder in one of my tanks, i have eco-complete in all my tanks and today i noticed these little lice things in the substrate of one of them, i forced one or two up to the surface to get a better look but they just burrowed straight back down, finally i sucked a lot of...

    X. Nezahualcoyotl For Sale

Hi john, 10 females and 2 males are used to breed. They are small broods, averaging between 12-15, I aren't aware of losing any once over a week old and beyond meal size for the bigger fish, my tank is very well planted so i'm guessing only a very small percentage get eaten, i would guess at...

once again helterskelter is spot on. unless i remove the fish and put them in a viewing tank, which i appose of, there is no way of getting pictures this good, these fish never sit still in open water and therefore it's next to impossible to get this kind of quality picture. I did mention this...

are you kidding me? i take offence to this to be honest, these are pure bred x.nezahualcoyotl and its a species of fish i specialise in, if you know anything about rare livebearers then i dont know how you've come to that conclusion, i assure you they are not in any way limia's, livebearer...
