Spawn Diary- Zion And Wendy :)

hehe thats so cute...Ill have to come up with something like that hes doin real good still...if I can raise him all alone by myself I think I can handle anything...ive had about 4 heart attacks already...me thinking hes not there...haha and Ive had one near death experience where I almost knocked over the tank he was in!!! I can just imagine me trying to find him in the carpet

Well the fry are two days old...and I pity poor daddy...he has more fry then he can handle...His nest slowly falls apart...but he just keeps blowing bubbles and babies up there haha poor guy....good thing hes getting taken out soon!

arent they just precious haha they are all so flippin tiny...I cant tell you...although most you know...but honestly these guys are smallll...will keep you all updated and im sure to have more pictures

Poor daddy trying to keep them all in the nest. Its frantic for a day or so but they should soon settle down and be able to get back up by themselves but then they'll be off exploring and poor daddy will have to try and bring them back to the nest

Thanks Joby... I'm glad the little dude is doin okay too...hehe he swims around more now...so Im guessing hes free swimming...hes about 4 days old now

As for the other guys...haha still driving dad insane...soon as they are free swimming (Which some already seem like they are....) or most are free swimming ill probably scoop daddy out...not that hes not doing a wonderful job but he just seems like hes ready to pull his scales out...and I would too with that many kids haha....they can never stay still...so probably tomorrow or the next day ill scoop him out and feed him some fatty bloodworms so he can have a rest...

They're just the cutest little whispers of things, aren't they? Daddy looks like he's doing a brilliant job with them, but I'm sure he'll be glad when he can have the chance to rest! I'm looking forward to watching them grow

Synirr are most your babies growed up and moved out? When is your next spawn planned for? Or do you not know yet?

Thought Id update...Spawn is no mostly free swimming...they are all over the place...on the plants on the sides haha its funny to see...doesnt seem like there are very many in there...But they could just be hiding...I can see that a few either didnt hatch all the way or something happened to them? Dunno but I think I still have a fair amount... I was wondering does anyone use snails in there fry tank im sure its been talk about before...I was thinking of using some trumpet snails I found and bought off aquabid....they are the smallest ones I could find? Will they harm fry?

Well a tad bit of bad news...my one little loner guy didnt make it He seemed so promising though was goin strong but...I had a feeling and not very high hopes hed make it thats okay Im going to try the parents again later....

I have been having an algea problem in that tank...so I have been carefully using a turkey master to remove it...which works real well....I just put it into a cup and let it settle and make sure no little swimmers are in there...hehe there were a few but I just sucked them up and put them in....so...(and I have trumpet snails coming hehe) The babies are a week old now...and they are starting to look less like alien babies and more like tad poles hahaha but they are adorable...they are free swimming for sure now...and I dont know how many I have so one day when I have nothing better to do (which is probably today haha) I will sit and try and make an estimate haha...they LOVE hangin out around the plants and stuff though....so cute....hehe

OMG!!!!! THAT IS THE PRETTIEST FEMALE THAT I THINK I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!!! where are your bettas from anyways? j/w. WEll, keep me updated on the babies bc i am definatly intersted in one( or a few...lol)

Congrats on Daddy being such a help I had an egg-eater and he put me into an awful panic
