hi cat below the cladding is 9x3 timbers ,if your extending and relineing id go with a double course wall as the water pressure is going to be more than was in the existing pond, dont forget the inside also needs to be renderd ,another way is to use a single course wall using engineers bricks but reinforce with steel spikes, for a 2ft high wall you need to go down 4" for the foundation so 2 bricks below ground level ,,,wheres the pics ?
This is the pond now bri..
(click it to make it bigger)
we are extending it at the far side down the steps, its about 12 inches above ground at the moment so hhe's extending on the far side using the drop save digging much out.
so if ive got this right its getting extended wherethe trellis is ?(top of the pic)
what you going to do with the fish whilst the works getting done
the new section is going to have to be tied into the old section if i was to be doing the job id recommend a total rebuild as the extension might cause a weakness in the structure where the joint is going to be
red arrow is this the end to be extended ,if so the whole end is being removed yes ?
blue arrow is the pond 12" deep then dug deeper in the middle ?
