The Amazing Adventures of Jamnog

well just to keep you updated on the latest tank i have one cray in this tank on his own for now well some snails and the irridesant nothing that cant handle a well fed cray. (its when the fish get sick or sleepy they have to worry about being eaten and only by hungry cray) im not going to keep him in there for long just while i moove the 2foot downstairs.

thanks tanked i dunno what to do with it now tho :( i spose i could get a pirahna or an oscar or something big and have a speicies tank... ive got a cichlid tank it might be nice to have something differentin this one. i havent found a tank thats 25 metres long to house my irridesant shark yet so it looks like im going to have to buy bigger and bigger tanks to house it.this latest on is the nearest to the right size i can afford so far and i might have to get a different house to accomidate the larger tank possibly have a heated pond. quite a large commitment on account of a £3 fish ive got two now as they can only be kept in more than ones so... -_- does anyone have any experience of keeping panglos i should post a question.

here is the best pic i could get of him aftter about 10 mins of trying he wont stay still cause he sees his own reflection in the tank :(

I found its best to take pics after you've fed them because they slow down and just hang around

Nice tanks you got running there :)

thanks dg i will try that out ive put the two in together now and they seem much happyer i was trying to work out how many gallons i would need for a 4 and a half foot fish..hmm x 2 so i put an add in the for sale bit the fish shop had a shovel nose in a 3 foot tank and it was about half as big as the tank so thats not allot of good. they stun sometimes when some one slams a door  i should take a pic of that perhaps.

wow a great tank jamnog. I'm thinkin about gettin some crabs in my 29 gallon. Do ya know any that wouldn't mess with a snail or 3 corys.

If you looking for getting some new fish I would suggest needlefish!
Needle fish are great fish but are very difficult to feed,i used to have three but after one of them turned homicidal one night i only have one now, when these guys bite its game over their mouths can open VERY wide and are full of sharp teeth. They are true predators and will refuse to eat anything other than live fish, they will also consume tankmates up to 4" long when full grown so not a fish for the normal community tank.

they sound ideal in a speicies tank i was contemplating getting pirahna as there are two that are in my lfs that no one wants :( poor misunderstood agressive guys. anyways my problem has been solved i have to get my common fire mouths out of my other tank into my new one as they are having a border dispute with the jewels.

ok for those of you who have been getting worried that perhaps i had been run down by a bus. left unable to post an update on the tanks, (im shure you are all crying in your hats at this point) im still alive woo. so here is an update on my tanks you know that first 4 foot one the little one as i now call it. well the jewel cichlids (not shure if thats what they are but thats what im calling them) are breeeding or atleast making the usual cichlid noises. we have all been there starts off one of them finds some secure spot and the other one decides that anyone in the same tank is a threat and thus must die. well the 7 common firemouths didnt get one well after that point. it all came form this daft looking pink ornament that i put in. i put it in to root the plants with (the theory was that i could stop them digging up the plants if i made a sort of plant pot... they dug up the plants from my plant pot and turned it into their sworded little love nest. oh its like they know what i want them to do and they go out of their way to upset me. its funny, anyways so i mooved the little monkey troop of common firemouth cichlids (like a troop of monkeys) into the new tank to pester the poor irridescants thats as you will have read is another story. so here is the new "big" tank with all of bristol zoo thrown in to fight among them selves im shure im going to have to get each and every one of them a tank to themselves if this carrys on. waa why cant it be simple? i wanted puffers :S :alien:
the picture... i might change it if i get a better one

edit looks like i mucked up the picture so i shall try and upload again
double edit i figure unless something major changes with the tank i might as well change it more often and see if anyone notices hehe

thanks tanked tho i cant seem to get plants that stay in the ground yet. ive fixed the picture i saw that 4 people had tried to download the paintshop brows file i mistakenly tried to post  well here is a pic of some of the pack in their new home

edit : fish dude the smaller red crab i think its jamacan will not mess with anything its just too small the cray in this pic would mess with anything smaller than a barb. some say it will eat all fish if they fall asleap or are sick i will be moving him in a couple of days just to be shure.
