If you get an older camera, it might not read the newer cards that have a large storage capacity.
eg: 3megapixel camera might not be able to read a 2GB memory card.

If this happens, you might be able to update the bios on the camera. You will have to check the information booklet or contact the supplier. They usually have a list of bios/ software updates on their website and you can download and install them onto the camera. The updates normally allow the camera to read and use larger memory cards.
 
Got new Gen 9 IPad & guess what! It takes pics better than old Gen 5 or 7. Still not the ones I want, but nice to see the improvement. It’s not snowing in the tank, lots of kicked up sand.

Also hired 3 hitmen to work on some unloved snails.

Check Adafruit for inexpensive small memory cards.
 
Late to the party as always... Never the best at taking photos but here's a nice one. My dad bought me a gorgeous new feller - a blue phantom plec. Named him Puddin', Blueberry Puddin'.
