My betta is turning clear and idk why. No signs of any disease like velvet or ick and water parameters are where they should be. I’ve read this is normal in marbled betta but just want opinions. Here is a terrible picture of what it looks like :)

Do you have any pictures of what he looked like before?
I think he's just marbling. He's a koi betta, and they do that quite often.
Here is a really good video that explains marbling in bettas:

I do have a picture in some old posts but yeah I do think he’s marbling after I researched it a bit more. It’s super cool I had no clue they did that!

Hey OP, do you have just a single corydora in there? What size is the tank?

I know that isn't why you posted, it's just that corydoras are a schooling species, so not ideal to keep one alone, and the tank looks like it might be a three gallon or something, so too small for a school of them. A lot of people get some bad advice from fish stores trying to sell them fish, so wanted to see whether you knew in case you'd been given bad advice, hope you don't mind my asking?

Oh, wow. I didn't even see that cory until you mentioned it. I agree though, cories need a much bigger tank, and they need to be in a school.

Oh he’s actually a rescue! And no that’s not his permanent home, I have a 20 gallon I’m prepping to move him into. I have a couple ottos but I do need to get him a friend or two. Completely understand your worries!
