tiercary line?
Tks for the thought..l_l_l said:Hi there!
I think the tank design is a little bit off. I'd place those large pebbles in the back of the tank instead of the front.
Defenitely add more plants, right now it doesn't look very natural. I also suggest moving the wood a little bit on the right or left.
Right now it is right in the middle and makes it really odd.

Wah! That link is too complicated for me! definitely not my standard level! haha!Gvilleguy said:I assume that is referring to the rule of thirds of aquascaping? I want to rescape my own tank to try that design. It's pretty cool. Interesting examples here:

Tks stan!stanleo said:I like it so far. You have left plenty of room for the anubias to grow. They grow slow but in a year they will fill out your little tank nicely. Are you going to do any foreground plants?

Got it Ch4!Ch4rlie said:Couldn't you do pygmy corys with the betta? Getting a little school of 6 won't be too many in an 8gl IMO.
Personally I would not add cories to a 8 gal tank, this tank is higher than its is in length.
And the base dimension footprint is not that much, especially with the wood and decor and not many plants for cover.

I've always been of the opinion, ANY cories should not be put in anything less than a 10 US gal, preferably 15+ US Gals, even pygmy cories and tank must have plenty of cover in terms of caves, wood and plants.
EDIT - it is do-able to have 6 pygmys in a 8 gal but not recommended imho.
