My Clown Loach chilling out.

Sorry about the poor quality.

I'm a big fan of Clown Loaches. They're like a cartoon looking fish with lots of character. :good:

They are a real joy to watch. They are so active and really seem to enjoy playing with each other. Last night they had all wedged them selves inbetween the log and were pilled on top of each other. I often find them laying on their side or upside down :) Feeding is nice to watch, they tent to go into a feeding frenzy and dart around the tank while changing the colour of their black stripes too a grayish colour. They are very confident and swim at the front of my tank when I enter the room.

If I did not already know this was normal behaviour, I might think they where crazy or sick lol! :)

My only problem is that in around 3-4 months im going to need a bigger tank or trade them back to the shop. I can't give them back now as I am pretty attached to them, so it's a new tank ;)

I have attached another poor quality picture.

Thanks for reading.

LOVE Clowns, have 4 *5 possibly although he seems to have vanished* have you heard yours clicking yet? mine were clicking very loudly yesterday whilst playing

Back on that snail subject, he seems to be moving around & stuff, but his coloration is much more brown now than he used to be. Should I try moving him to another tank? I have another Golden Mystery Snail that's bright yellow in my 36 gallon & I could move him to that tank very easily.

What do you think?

Both of mine are also browner now as well. Could it be related to the seasons? I've read something about snail aestivation period or something like that. Not sure if this is the case though.
Mine are currently acting like suction cups on a wall, each taking a side of it. They're so cute.

I read that the bright yellow can turn brown if they aren't getting enough food or enough nutrition from that food. Also heard that it could be due to stress or just lower lighting, which would make sense since the brightly colored one is in the tank with 62 watts while the brownish one is in a tank with only 15 watts.

In fact I think I read that here..............

Anyway maybe I'll post a pic of each & show you what I mean, this is after all the "Show Off Your Fish Thread" right?

Could be what they're eating (my water sprite that is)... And their skin turns pink (actually has multiple red dots) every time they eat that thing. I wonder if they'd eat cabbage or cucumber rolls, as they're not fans of salad and I can't get the flakes to them no matter how hard I try, as the catfish will just steal it from the poor little things...

The brownish one was eating a piece of Wisteria leaf that was floating around the tank.

What do you (if you do) feed them anyway? If fish food, how do you manage to get it to them? I put the flake right in front of mine and they're still unable to keep it.
