Maybe I am the only chinese here.
My hometown is the city of shenyang which located in north-east china , not far away from North Korea. You may curious about the Ornamental fish market in china.I try to share some photos and show you around .

it is a wholesale market . the seller are farmers live in the nearby village, they breed tropical fish to earn money instead of farming, and most of the consumer in the market are retail traders of different cities.all the people can attend, you can visit the market without charge .and if you want to buy some things, you must buy a lot ,maybe night is more convenient for retail traders ,they always get there once a week.so , there is no need to have a Fixed pitch for the seller ,so the fish must be put in the plastic bags with a high density.when the retail traders come back to their shop ,they will put fish into the aquarium...

the words on the wall means 'Ornamental fish market of anshan'(anshan is a city not far away from my city,it has the biggest wholesale Ornamental fish market of my province ,I always got there by train)

It is beginning to look interesting...... give us some more photos and welcome to the forum......

Wow! That's a lot of turtles! Can't wait to see more pics. These fish markets fascinate me. I think it was forum member "Crunch" that showed his local market in India. Nothing like that here in the U.S.

Welcome to the forum.
How do all the fish survive in plastic bags.? And all the turtles look cramped in there we are not aloud to do this in Britain.

Welcome to the forum and it will be interesting to see what species of fish/ aquatic creatures are being traded at the market. Why are the markets held only at night? Is it so all the workers can also attend, or due to weather?.

hey there, looks like cram loads of animals in a box or bag and flog em, doesnt look great to me :( interesting pics tho, ive not been away for years you forget how different things are.
