Hi all, have a mystery to solve.
Ten crabs have disapeared, shells and all. six red crabs and four blue crabs. only two blue crabs remaining.
Tank specs, 160ltr of water, 30-40kg LR, external fluval 305 filter containing LR and rowaphos and some carbon.
Tank residents - 4 turbo snails, 2 cleaner shrimps, regal tang, yellow tang, 2 cardinals, an anenome, yellow jawfish, 2 clowns, lots of different corals.

I would never mix hermit species, they often fight to the death or just kill the weaker hermit for its shell

Sorry

Thanks for that info, i did not realise that. How do they fight because we have not witnessed anything like that and still not found any shells in the tank. do they bury them?

cheers daz

If you're not finding shells, it is more than possible they are alive and well, runnin around in the rockwork.

Yeh i have 10 and never see them! occasionly they come out. Try looking at night - thats when mine appear most.

Is that a Malu anemone in your tank? looks very healthy and happy.. Can you by any chance add some pictures of your anemone to my anemone thread please??
