Platy Fish Question

Hey guys
just wanted to know if it is normal for a male platy to be very shy
he doesnt move around much
im not sure if its something to do with the lighting becuase i need to get one asap
also i havent overfed them

Just would like some advice

From the 4 Platys that I've had I'd say no. It is possible that one of the others is bullying him? I had to take one of mine back for bullying and now the Platy he was bullying is a different fish.

Also, are there any signs of illness? white spots, gasping for air a lot, ulcers, red gills.....anything like that. Is he eating?

ermm he is eating but he doesnt like go up when i drop the food in
he waits till it goes near the floor then takes it
they are ok for air there is plenty of it in there

And im not sure if he is being bullyied ill keep my eye on them

This is not normal behaviour. What are your water stats? Do you do a weekly water change?

Yeahh water is fine

i think it is down to bullying becuase my clown loach has been like swimming quite hard at my other fish 0_0

How many males and females do you have?
How big is the tank, and what other fish are there?

I had 2 males with 4 females in a small tank and they were always chasing each other. One nearly died of finrot from the stress. They're fine now they're separated
