My 100 Gallon Marine Journal.

Thanks :) They are deffinatly worth the hard work.

By the way, for those who didnt see it in another post, my male emperor cardinal spat his second batch last thursday. An amzing 31 fish came out!

That's alot of fish to hold...they hold in their mouth right??!!

How are the tangs coming along? Are the water parameters in the QT tank back up to par? I've been wondering how it's going for you

:)

Yes, male emperors hold the fry in their mouth.

The tangs will be out of quaratine in about another 2 weeks and in the main display tank.

The ammonia in the quaratine has gone down considerably too. I will keep doing water changes though to keep it down.

They are all looking healthy and have had no whitespot or any other diseases (fingers crossed that they dont)

The 5 yellow tangs are now in the main display tank and i have bought a new coral.

I have done some shifting with the odd bit of rock and corals and added 3 more kg or LR.

Here are some pics.

fish are friends.... Setting up a marine aquarium isnt as hard as people think. It just takes alot of reading, careful planning of stock and lost of patience, not forgetting abit of money. Its worth it in the end though.

connorsbala The new coral is the toadstool in picture 7.

Great Tank...
Like the Tangs in a group, pretty rare sight indeed.
This aquarium has a great deal of potential and should look stunning when filled out with corals
Good work
Regards
BigC

Thanks for the positive comments.

BigC, I was thinking the same that once it is full with corals it will look alot better. Now that i have pretty much all the fish i want that is all i will be buying to stock it with now so it shouldnt take long to have lots in it.

Hey just curious ,but have you tried a gold-rimmed tang? They are pretty hard to keep alive i have been told ,but mine has been rather easy. Their my faviorte tang.

I havn't tried one, all the marines I have tried I have still got.

I think the powder blue is a much more attractive fish. (My favorite marine of all time). And I am hoping that it will be the final addition to my reef.
