Has anyone seen the Zebra plec in this months PFK.

Yip-yo absolutely awesome, got to get me some of those.

Speaking from a man thats never had plecs thats quite a revelation. £65 price tag though is a bit steep

yeah that article made me really really want zebra plecs. I've never seen one in the flesh, but if I did, I don't know if I'd be able to constrain my naughty purse that would jump out of my pocket and give all my money away and take the plecs and then run away home (although would probably walk so not to be too bumpy for the plecs) before my little brain knew what had happened. Bye bye rent money...

I think the £65 mentioned was when he first started buying them - not the price they are going for now. It's more like £120 at least - IF you can find some :/

 Jersey Channel ! by the looks of it. Just a tad far for me .....

If going for 50 pounds, and not being gone within a day, it's unlike it's actually a true L046. There's many 'look alikes' that people try and pass off as L046s

May I also mention that they like to be kept in groups? :p ... so, 120 pounds each, times, lets say ... 5? Betcha that makes the tank they're in look very cheap.

fish keeping is a very small hobby in jersey.

population is 90,000 with one good lfs and 2 other very very small ones and getting anything shipped here privately is near on impossible (even bettas are rare here i have only seen 1 once here). i am the only person that keeps fish out of al the people i know

Like what? I have never seen a plec with black and white horizontal stripes other than a 46.

LOL, you probably get people trying to pass of common plecs as zebra plecs :p . Considering how you get people on Aquabid trying to pass of your average blue VT mutt as a stunning royal blue DT or whatever, its highly possible.

To the inexperienced eye, many can be mistaken :) ... I'd definatly recognise a true zebra now though :p
