Zebra Danios Eat Guppy Fry?

well i got some 2 zebras from a friend whose getting a saltwater tank... was wondering if they ate guppy fry? im keeping them in a holding tank but the frys are 2 1/2 weeks old and about half an inch in lenght. i can see these guys are pretty energetic and ive read taht theyre omnivorous 3.5'' mosnters compared to my fry. the tank i wanna put them in is 30g and theres 2 corys, 2 glowlight tetra, 2 mollies, and 2 gold barbs and the guppy fry have been there for 2 1/2 weeks iwth them with no problem. when i put the zebras in i saw them chasing all the other fishes and chasing the little frys too and im not sure if theyre trying to intimidate them or eat them.

yes they will, in fact when I had livebearers I used danios to prevent any fry from making it to adulthood

Golden barbs are much better at eating livebearer fry than danios though, and even glowlights and mollies will eat them too. Your tank was hardly fry-friendly anyway .

yeah, kept them in a separated part of their tank for 2 1/2 weeks and now theyre bigger n faster now and seem to get along with all the other fishes.

looks like your doing well good luck to you!!! may i ask you what your feeding your frys?
