Considering the wide range of items we use in the hobby, (airpumps, filters, heaters cleaning utensils, lighting, etc. etc.) what is the most useful thing you have ever purchased for your aquarium?

For me, without a doubt, after buying various airpumps at great cost, (inevitably failing after 2 months) I decided to switch over to a blower. Innitially, this also had its fair share of pressure problems (having to drive a battery of tanks) but then I changed the size of my tubing to 12mm..... Absolute bliss!! In all my years of keeping fish, the best move I've made was to switch over to a blower and use 12mm tubing. What was your best ever usefull adoption??

Well... I've never seen any of those Turkey things... what does it do & how is it better than other methods??

the turkey thing sucks up water and scum.my best thing would have to be this powder i got that keeps my ph at a perfect level

yes i use a small turkey baster with feeding blood worm to my fish, its help alot with feeding my channa ornatipinnis,if i drop the blood worm straight in the babies will not stop eating, then look like there about to exsplode,so this method allows me to feed the parents direct, without babies getting alot,

My best buy which i cannot be without is the fluval fx5 , this filter in my oppinion is the dogs dangly bits...

Best buy has to be my python, makes changing water sooo easy, no mess, no fuss and from a mixer tap to refill, no temperature fluctuations, unless I want them :) Couldnt live without it!

I must also mention that I used to go for the cheap heaters, until I bought one that is more than 3 times the price of one in the same wattage range.... So reliable and unfailing... You get what you pay for in equipment.

Heat blanket for my bed (yes like the ones our gandoarents have) so i can be toasty and warm watching my fishies in bed :D

For Ludwig, a turkey baster is a tool for pulling fat from a cooking pan and using it to baste the cooking meat. It is little more than an oversized syringe that uses a rubber bulb to create the small partial vacuum needed.

um fish XD

nah probably the turkey baister

My fish tank with out it I could not keep fish.

My home made python is very handy I can do water
changes while playing with my daughter that's priceless.

I'd have to say my aquarium vacuum. It makes life 10x easier. Before I had it, I spent 3 hours doing a not so effective water change on one aquarium. Now it takes me maybe an hour to do all six (or seven?) of my aquariums.
